RESERVED FOR ESME - This scene of a quiet little village nestled among rolling fields with trees dotting the landscape is a timeless image of the French countryside, just as true today as it was a hundred or two hundred years ago. The simple, lovely palette of soft greens, blues, and ochres gives the impression of a bright summer day starting over the little village and its church steeple. Unsigned but acquired as part of a collection with two other landscapes signed E. Béchard in 1914.
Dimensions: approx. 33 cm x 35 cm / 13 in x 13.75 in
